Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 2026
Women of Global Mobility ("WoGM") is a nonprofit community, and we want every member, volunteer, and visitor to be able to take part. We are committed to making our website, membership portal, and events accessible to people with disabilities, and to improving the experience for everyone.

Our Commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as our standard for our website and Portal. These guidelines help make content more usable for people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities, including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control, keyboard-only navigation, and captions.
What We Do
-
Design and review pages with keyboard access, readable color contrast, clear headings, and descriptive link text in mind.
-
Add alternative text to meaningful images.
-
Provide captions for recorded video and, where possible, live captioning for virtual events. [Confirm what you can commit to.]
-
Share slides and materials ahead of events when we can, in formats that work with assistive technology.
-
Choose event platforms and venues with accessibility in mind, and describe accessibility details in event listings when known.
-
Ask volunteers and content contributors to follow basic accessibility practices.
-
Review our site periodically and fix issues we find.
Event Accommodations
We welcome requests for accommodations at any WoGM event, such as captioning, sign language interpretation, accessible seating, large-print or screen reader friendly materials, or dietary and sensory needs. Please contact us at least 7 to 10 days before the event so we can make arrangements. We will do our best to fulfill late requests, but cannot always guarantee them.

Known Limitations
We are always improving, and some parts of our site may not yet fully meet our goal. Known limitations may include:
-
Third-party tools and platforms, such as our website builder, membership system, payment processor, event registration, and video conferencing tools. We do not control their design, but we work with providers on fixes and offer alternatives when needed.
-
Older documents, PDFs, or recorded content that were posted before this statement and may not be fully accessible.
-
Member-posted content, such as images or files shared in the Portal, which may not include alternative text or captions.

Alternative Ways to Get Help
If you have trouble using any part of our website or Portal, or need content in a different format, we will help you get the information or service you need. We can provide documents in alternative formats, help with registration or membership tasks by email or phone, and answer questions directly.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website, Portal, and events. If you find a barrier, please tell us:
-
Email: info@womenofglobalmobility.org (use the subject line "Accessibility")
-
Include: the page or event, what happened, the device, browser, or assistive technology you use, and how we can reach you.
We aim to reply within 5 business days and to resolve issues or offer a workable alternative as quickly as we can.
Feedback is reviewed by our leadership team and used to guide improvements.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is ongoing work. We will review this statement at least once a year and update it as our site, tools, and practices change.
